Revisional Procedures

Patient’s who have a bariatric procedure and follow our post-operative indications such as:

  • Dietary guidelines
  • Recommended follow-up
  • Improvements in their lifestyle habits etc.

…Will lose a significant amount of weight and are able to keep it off for a long period of time.

However, treating obesity is similar to dealing with other diseases so the reality is that sometimes one weight loss procedure will not lead to as much weight loss as the surgeon and patient hope for.

In some cases, a patient will lose weight but later regain some or all of that weight.

If this has happened to you, you should not feel ashamed or consider this a personal failure. On the contrary, we will always work with you to find the next best option for your specific case.

The first step to determine whether you’re a candidate for a revisional procedure needs an evaluation that may require specific medical tests to help the surgeon make an accurate decision.

The outcome of these tests or evaluation will determine the type of procedure that can be safely performed.
